Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bakery or cake decorating experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates
- Ability to read, count, and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Availability to work varied hours and days as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in cake decorating or bakery operations preferred
- Strong artistic and creative skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic math and reading skills for pricing and documentation
- Ability to operate bakery equipment safely
Job Duties
- Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of customer service
- Ensure sales floor product is of highest quality and freshness
- Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandising promotions, test merchandise, and advertisements
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping
- Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise
- participate in receiving and monitoring floor stock
- ensure re-wraps are done promptly
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention policies
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
