Job Requirements

  • Able to lift, handle, carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies, and paper goods weighing at least 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Able to stand and move well-paced for up to four hours
  • Effective communication and attentive listening skills with supervisors, employees, vendors, and suppliers
  • Must pass background check
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Reliable and punctual with strong teamwork skills
  • Experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to taste and distinguish flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel, and smells for all food and beverage products

Job Duties

  • Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications including rare to well-done using high-temperature broilers
  • Ensure all food is prepared to Ruth's Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in stocking and inventory of broiler supplies
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain kitchen efficiency
