Job Requirements
- Able to lift, handle, carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies, and paper goods weighing at least 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand and move well-paced for up to four hours
- Effective communication and attentive listening skills with supervisors, employees, vendors, and suppliers
- Must pass background check
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
- Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Reliable and punctual with strong teamwork skills
- Experience in a full-service restaurant
- Ability to taste and distinguish flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel, and smells for all food and beverage products
Job Duties
- Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications including rare to well-done using high-temperature broilers
- Ensure all food is prepared to Ruth's Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in stocking and inventory of broiler supplies
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain kitchen efficiency
