Job Requirements
- Possess a valid South Carolina driver's license
- Have a safe driving record with a 3-year Motor Vehicle Report history
- Be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and carry it 50 feet
- Be able to read a map and organize daily route schedule
- Be familiar with assigned area
- Be able to pass drug-screening procedure
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Be able to drive 5-speed manual transmission
- Be D.O.T. certified

Job Duties
- Operate truck in safe manner abiding by all applicable State and local transportation rules and regulations
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections on vehicle prior to starting route
- Maintain daily log of scheduled stops
- Maintain constant communication with Dispatcher via telephone
- Load and unload vehicle in manner to safeguard donated items from breakage
- Keep vehicle clean inside and out
- Haul trash and scrap metal as authorized
- Return salvage to centralized warehouse
- Perform daily post-trip inspections on vehicle and notify the Transportation Manager of any concerns
- Ensure that first aid kit and fire extinguisher are maintained
