Job Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- High school graduate
- Two years of experience in a kitchen or cook role
- Previous supervisor experience
- Ability to communicate satisfactorily in verbal and written English
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to maintain knowledge of menu and special items, prices, and quality standards
- Ability to focus despite stressful or unusual interruptions
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- High school graduate
- Some college education preferred
- Previous supervisor experience is desirable
- At least 2 years of experience in a kitchen or cook role
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written English
- Basic math skills
- Strong knowledge of menu items, prices, and quality standards
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to focus and perform in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
Job Duties
- Oversees the daily receiving, storage, and preparation of all food products
- Records all waste (food product) on tracking sheet
- Conducts nightly protein count
- Assists KM/EKM in counting weekly inventory
- Ensures that all food products meet company recipe specifications for preparation and quality
- Ensures that timing standards are met during production
- Inspects and approves dishes before they go to guest tables
- Examines and assesses the quality of ingredients and presentation
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations such as checking food temperatures, sanitation levels, and proper storage
- Cooks when needed to support the flow of the business
- Defers to Manager on duty for business decisions affecting financials
- Completes opening and/or closing duties as assigned
- Follows maintenance program and cleaning schedule
- Notifies management of any pertinent information related to shift activities
