Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalency
- ability to lift or carry 50 lbs or more
- ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods
- ability to push, pull, move, or lift heavy equipment and supplies
- frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, or crouching
- willingness to work days with weekends and holidays
- prior housekeeping experience a plus but not required

- ability to speak, read, and write English as required by the position
- knowledge of cleaning equipment operation and safety protocols
- understanding of infection control standards
- ability to follow established policies and procedures
- strong attention to detail and reliability
Job Duties
- Operate all cleaning equipment used for various cleaning or buffing jobs
- move heavy objects such as beds, desks, and copy machines
- identify medical waste from regular waste and dispose of both properly following hospital regulations
- participate in mandatory educational and in-service programs
- maintain departmental policies, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
- perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, washing, and vacuuming floors
- wash walls and ceilings by hand while minimizing spills or splashes
- strip and wax floors throughout hospital and outside properties
- wash and disinfect sinks and plumbing thoroughly
- perform related duties as assigned or requested
