Job Requirements

  • Physical activity including walking, lifting, kneeling, and driving in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds

  • Responsible for navigating hotel ramps, guest vehicles, and local streets while following all applicable laws

Job Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of the English language
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with the Rochester area
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record with no drug/alcohol violations

Job Duties

  • Transfer luggage, trunks, and packages by hand or using baggage carts
  • Provide directions, travel details, and local area recommendations
  • Tag and handle guest luggage using claim checks
  • Valet park guest vehicles and retrieve them upon request
  • Operate hotel van to transport guests to local destinations
  • Escort guests to rooms and greet them upon arrival
  • Assist physically challenged guests or those with special needs
  • Support hotel security efforts and maintain a safe environment
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet guest needs
  • Provide occasional coverage at the phone or front desk
  • Always deliver professional, pleasant customer service
  • Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage
  • Clean and maintain entrance and lobby areas
  • Make real-time decisions to solve guest or operational issues
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Deliver messages, packages, or amenities to guest rooms
