Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service preferred
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- customer service-oriented mindset
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 10 pounds safely
Job Qualifications
- Possess verbal and language skills to understand and communicate with guests
- have basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions
- possess basic math skills and ability to operate point-of-sale system
- able to handle money
- able to work standing for long periods
- able to safely lift and maneuver items weighing up to 10 pounds
Job Duties
- Learn and understand the bar and food menus
- learn and understand all bar drink recipes
- welcome and greet guests
- inform guests of specials and feature items
- answer questions about food, beverages and restaurant functions
- take food and beverage orders and enter in point-of-sale system
- deliver food and beverages promptly
- run food orders from pick-up window regardless of server
- perform side work at start and end of shifts
- maintain clean service areas
- monitor guests dining experience and respond promptly
- pre-bus tables frequently
- prepare bill and present check to guest
- clean and reset tables and seating areas
- assist fellow servers as needed
- thank guests and invite them to return
- be available to fill in as directed by manager or supervisor
