UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge is a distinctive meeting and retreat venue situated in Southern California. Nestled high within the serene and pine-studded San Bernardino Mountains on the peaceful shores of Lake Arrowhead, this 50-acre lodge offers a picturesque and tranquil environment ideal for a variety of group events. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • 2+ years experience in customer service
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations respectfully and culturally responsively
  • Ability to remain calm under customer dissatisfaction
  • Proficient in written and verbal English communication
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert knowledge of alcoholic beverages including beer, wine, and spirits
  • Advanced knowledge of serving practices and beverage industry standards
  • Skill using bartender tools like blenders, mixers, muddlers, corkscrews, and openers
  • Ability to comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • Math skills for customer payment transactions
  • Positive interaction skills in a high-volume public setting
  • TIPS California Responsible Beverage Server Certification
  • Professional bartending training certificate
  • Background check required
  • Live Scan background check must be completed prior to employment
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Pre-placement physical examination required
  • Subject to California DMV Pull Notice System
  • Must be available to work variable schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime

  • Ability to comply with safety and sanitation standards
  • Math skills for payment processing
  • Positive interpersonal skills in a high-volume public setting
  • Working knowledge of culinary techniques preferred
  • TIPS California Responsible Beverage Server Certification required
  • Professional bartending training certificate required

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and coffee beverages to customers
  • Make beverage recommendations and answer guest queries
  • Craft specialty cocktails and coffee drinks with expert knowledge
  • Set up, maintain, and dismantle bar stations for regular and special events
  • Adhere to safety, sanitation, and beverage industry standards
  • Interact professionally with guests and team members using positive body language and communication
  • Manage payment transactions accurately and efficiently
