Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience with beverage service in catering or banquet events
- Ability to check and verify guest identification
- Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations
- Ability to mix and serve drinks following standard recipes
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to bartending
- Availability for on-call scheduling
- Compliance with all company policies including use of personal protective equipment and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Prior experience with beverage service in catering or banquet events
- Knowledge of liquor laws and responsible beverage service
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to operate cash registers and handle cash transactions
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a bar setting
- Familiarity with standard drink recipes and portion control
- Ability to work on an on-call schedule with varying days and hours
Job Duties
- Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests
- Sets up assigned bars
- requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
- Maintains stock, prepares, cures and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
- Greets guests in a courteous, friendly manner
- Takes and/or processes orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes and presents drinks using standard ingredient recipes
- practices prudent portion control
- Checks guests at the bar for proper identification
- Detects and acts upon guest inebriation as trained
- Demonstrates knowledge of liquor laws
- Receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies validity of charges, records charges and ensures vouchers are properly executed
- Locks up and stores all beverage product, food, equipment items, deposits and cash drops
