UCLA Lake Arrowhead Lodge is a distinguished meeting and retreat venue situated in the scenic San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. Nestled among tranquil pine forests and overlooking the pristine shores of Lake Arrowhead, this 50-acre facility offers a unique and serene environment for conferences, retreats, and family camps. Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must possess and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License
  • Must have TIPS California Responsible Beverage Server Certification
  • Must have professional bartending training certificate
  • Must complete a satisfactory background check
  • Must complete a Live Scan background check prior to employment
  • Must pass a pre-placement physical examination
  • Must have a satisfactory driving record
  • Must be available to work varying schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Must be able to work with university vehicles

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in customer service
  • 1+ years experience in a hotel environment preferred
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations respectfully
  • Ability to remain calm under adversity
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Expert knowledge of alcoholic beverages and garnishes
  • Advanced knowledge of serving practices and beverage industry standards
  • Skilled in using bartending tools
  • Ability to comply with safety and sanitation
  • Math skills for transactions
  • Positive body language and professional demeanor
  • Working knowledge of basic culinary techniques preferred
  • Valid CA noncommercial Class C License
  • TIPS California Responsible Beverage Server Certification
  • Professional bartending training certificate

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and coffee beverages to guests
  • Make recommendations and answer beverage-related queries
  • Craft specialty cocktails and coffee beverages
  • Set up, maintain, and dismantle main and temporary bars
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • Use bartending hand tools effectively
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
