Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year customer service experience required
  • Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
  • able to stand and walk up to four hours
  • able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • able to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • able to work in extreme temperatures
  • good communication skills
  • knowledge of basic computer functions
  • must maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
  • regular attendance
  • ability to work varying schedules
  • able to perform cleaning and food service tasks
  • able to follow safety and sanitation regulations

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards

Job Duties

  • Take customer orders
  • describe menu items and suggest products to customers
  • provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
  • prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages, along with pastries and cookies
  • prepare all drinks and food items following the outlet and company standards
  • educate and inform customers about the differences among coffee beans, coffee preparation, and home brewing methods
  • ensure equipment is clean and in working order
  • report any maintenance or repair needs
  • maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations
  • clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • clean tables, floors, and service areas
  • ensure coffee supplies are always stocked
  • operate a cash register or POS system and handle payments accurately
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • maintain a calm demeanor during high volume periods
  • properly handle all food and equipment
  • perform other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
