Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience required
- Safe Server Alcohol and Food Handlers certification required
- able to stand and walk up to four hours
- able to lift up to 45 lbs
- able to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
- able to work in extreme temperatures
- good communication skills
- knowledge of basic computer functions
- must maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
- regular attendance
- ability to work varying schedules
- able to perform cleaning and food service tasks
- able to follow safety and sanitation regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year customer service experience
- knowledge of drink preparation and applicable health standards
- excellent customer relations skills
- good communication skills, both verbal and written
- detail oriented with outstanding organizational skills
- basic computer skills
- basic computational ability
- ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy
- knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, and POS
- self-driven and able to work independently
- strong issue resolution and analytical skills
Job Duties
- Take customer orders
- describe menu items and suggest products to customers
- provide information about products and look for up-sell opportunities
- prepare and serve hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages, along with pastries and cookies
- prepare all drinks and food items following the outlet and company standards
- educate and inform customers about the differences among coffee beans, coffee preparation, and home brewing methods
- ensure equipment is clean and in working order
- report any maintenance or repair needs
- maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations
- clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
- clean tables, floors, and service areas
- ensure coffee supplies are always stocked
- operate a cash register or POS system and handle payments accurately
- follow company safety and security policies
- maintain a calm demeanor during high volume periods
- properly handle all food and equipment
- perform other duties assigned by managers and supervisors
