Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- proven experience as a bartender or in beverage service
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- must be of legal drinking age
- excellent customer service skills
- strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting kegs
- compliance with state and federal alcohol service laws
Job Qualifications
- experience in bartending or beverage preparation
- knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink recipes
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- familiarity with relevant compliance and safety regulations regarding alcohol service
- basic math skills for handling payments and inventory
- high school diploma or equivalent
Job Duties
- make personal connections with guests to create loyalty through engaging conversation
- check identification to ensure guests meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages and comply with regulatory procedures
- read and organize tickets to quickly and accurately serve guests and manage large crowds
- prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard operating procedures and specifications
- inform guests of the beer of the month and make suggestions upon request
- replace kegs and restock bottles of alcohol when necessary
- monitor and manage bar inventory and cost control measures including tracking waste
- monitor current levels of inventory including glassware and garnishes and maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bar area and equipment
- collect and accurately process guest payments
- take food and beverage orders from serving staff or directly from guests
- attempt to limit problems and liabilities related to customer excessive drinking
- perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
