Job Requirements

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance as per scheduling needs
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag
  • Comply with Avion Hospitality standards, policies, and safety regulations
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications such as Alcohol Awareness and Food Handlers
  • Perform duties promptly and efficiently during banquet events
  • Familiarity with hotel policies, fire exits, safety rules, and departmental functions
  • Handle "Lost and Found" items following company standards
  • Remain attentive, courteous, and helpful to guests and coworkers at all times

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification compliant with state regulations
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Effective listening and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage financial information and perform basic arithmetic
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Duties

  • Set up assigned banquet functions according to the Banquet Event Order
  • Serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
  • Perform preparatory tasks and side work duties to ensure prompt and efficient service
  • Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents, referring to management when necessary
  • Maintain banquet storage areas neat, organized, and well-stocked
  • Clear banquet spaces after functions, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored
  • Attend meetings as required by management
