Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years of experience in food preparation preferably in a banquet or high-volume setting
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in a fast-paced hot environment
  • must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary degree or certification is a plus
  • minimum of 2 years of experience in food preparation preferably in a banquet or high-volume setting
  • proficient in various cooking techniques
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to read and follow recipes
  • strong culinary skills
  • excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • basic inventory management skills
  • knowledge of kitchen operations
  • experience with inventory management systems
  • previous experience in a hotel or resort environment

Job Duties

  • Prepares food items according to standardized recipes and banquet event orders
  • ensures all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively
  • maintains a clean and organized work station adhering to food safety standards
  • monitors food levels and communicates needs to the Chef or Supervisor
  • assists with inventory management including receiving and storing food items
  • collaborates with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient banquet service
  • provides exceptional customer service by addressing any food-related concerns promptly and professionally
