Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED)
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

  • Review assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to scheduled events
  • Conduct pre-banquet meetings to ensure appearance and hygiene standards, assign stations and partners, and review banquet event orders
  • Communicate with Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager or event coordinator to ensure all details are planned and met and to make timely changes
  • Ensure availability of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items, and secure requisitions for items not in inventory
  • Check room set-up prior to events and confirm quantities and timing of food with Executive Chef
  • Handle banquet equipment properly and store after use
  • Conduct random audits during functions to evaluate food and service quality, temperature, presentation, and availability
  • Regularly review banquet schedules and special events
  • Incorporate safe work practices in all job performance
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as required
