Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and speak English
  • Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages

Job Duties

  • Reviews assigned banquet staff functions and banquet menus prior to scheduled events
  • Conducts pre-banquet meetings with staff to ensure appearance and hygiene standards are being met
  • Assigns stations and partners and reviews banquet event orders
  • Communicates with Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, or event coordinator to ensure all details are planned for and met
  • Ensures appropriate quantities of china, glassware, silverware, linens, and other items are available and secures requisitions for items not in inventory
  • Checks room setup prior to event and confirms food quantities and timing with Executive Chef
  • Ensures proper handling and storage of all equipment and event items
  • Conducts random audits during functions to evaluate food and service quality
  • Regularly reviews banquet schedule for changes and updates
  • Incorporates safe work practices in all job performance
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance
  • Performs other duties as required
