Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of managerial experience overseeing a team of 50+ employees
  • Ability or willingness to learn bakery manufacturing equipment operation
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume production bakery
  • Ability to direct and manage a team with empathetic leadership
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Must be able to stand for 10 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work 1pm to 11pm shifts including weekends and holidays as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of managerial experience successfully overseeing a team of 50+ employees preferably in a food manufacturing or high-volume production facility
  • Ability or willingness to learn bakery manufacturing equipment such as deck ovens, proofers, rack ovens, fryers
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to direct and manage a team with kind and empathetic leadership
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices preferred
  • Experience building and mentoring high performance teams preferred
  • Spanish language skills strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience working in baking or a food manufacturing environment preferred
  • Prior managerial experience in a high-volume production facility preferred

Job Duties

  • Ensure consistent and quality products per Tatte specifications
  • Create and post timely and accurate team member schedules
  • Direct the afternoon/evening bakery team to execute all production and non-production tasks efficiently, effectively, and safely
  • Assume responsibility for quality control in proofing, baking, finishing, picking, and packaging all goods
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols, including Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Adequately staff, onboard, manage, develop, and hold bakery team members accountable with a focus on safety and well-being
  • Assist with operational planning including labor and waste management
  • Oversee afternoon deliveries in partnership with the Logistics Manager
  • Participate actively in management meetings
  • Maintain effective relationships with managers, supervisors, and support teams
  • Promote and model Tatte mission and values, and commitment to diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging
  • Follow crisis management procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
