Job Requirements
- Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- lift and push/pull heavy loads up to 100 lbs
- perform manual tasks involving bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive movements
- maintain composure in customer interactions
- read and follow recipes and production guides
- perform basic math calculations
- wear required personal protective equipment
- communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- maintain safety and sanitation standards
- ability to operate bakery machinery with manual dexterity
- must be 18 years or older
- possess food handlers certification per state laws
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous bakery or food production experience is an asset
- ability to operate bakery machinery and kitchen utensils
- strong customer service and communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to follow detailed recipes and production guides
- teamwork and collaboration orientation
- basic math skills for measuring ingredients and inventory management
Job Duties
- Prepare bakery products for retail sale
- operate and clean bakery equipment and work areas
- package fresh products following handling procedures
- ensure quality by following product codes and safety regulations
- mix ingredients and decorate cakes
- label bakery items accurately
- display products using FIFO rotation
- take and fulfill special cake orders
- engage in customer service including suggestive selling
- maintain cleanliness and safety standards in bakery
- manage inventory and production records
- open and close bakery following procedures
- perform other assigned bakery duties
