Job Requirements

  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • lift and push/pull heavy loads up to 100 lbs
  • perform manual tasks involving bending, stooping, reaching, and repetitive movements
  • maintain composure in customer interactions
  • read and follow recipes and production guides
  • perform basic math calculations
  • wear required personal protective equipment
  • communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to operate bakery machinery with manual dexterity
  • must be 18 years or older
  • possess food handlers certification per state laws

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous bakery or food production experience is an asset
  • ability to operate bakery machinery and kitchen utensils
  • strong customer service and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and production guides
  • teamwork and collaboration orientation
  • basic math skills for measuring ingredients and inventory management

Job Duties

  • Prepare bakery products for retail sale
  • operate and clean bakery equipment and work areas
  • package fresh products following handling procedures
  • ensure quality by following product codes and safety regulations
  • mix ingredients and decorate cakes
  • label bakery items accurately
  • display products using FIFO rotation
  • take and fulfill special cake orders
  • engage in customer service including suggestive selling
  • maintain cleanliness and safety standards in bakery
  • manage inventory and production records
  • open and close bakery following procedures
  • perform other assigned bakery duties
