Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior bakery or pastry cook experience in a professional setting
  • Ability to handle early morning shifts starting at 4:00 AM
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong physical stamina for standing and lifting
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a baker or pastry cook preferably in a professional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of laminated dough techniques and bread pastry production
  • Familiarity with various baking methods and equipment
  • Ability to work early mornings starting around 4:00 AM with flexibility for additional hours as needed
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Team player with strong communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries breads and laminated doughs including croissants Danish and puff pastry
  • Measure and mix ingredients accurately to create doughs and batters
  • Follow recipes and adjust based on seasonal ingredients and availability
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Monitor and manage baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and improve existing products
  • Assist in inventory management including ordering and receiving supplies as needed
  • Maintain equipment and report any maintenance issues
