Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- formal baking education or training from a culinary school or bakery program is a plus
- minimum of 3 years of hands-on baking experience in a professional setting
- strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and presentation for cakes, breads, pastries, and other specialty baked goods
- excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- detail-oriented with a strong commitment to consistency and quality
- ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- must be able to speak, read, and communicate clearly in English
- flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Job Duties
- prepare a variety of baked goods including pies, cookies, pastries, cakes, and more using mixers, ovens, blenders, and other baking equipment
- conduct quality checks on ingredients and final products to maintain food safety and excellence standards
- interact with customers by answering questions, taking custom orders, processing payments, and delivering warm, friendly service
- maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and special orders
- ensure all client orders are fulfilled correctly and delivered on time
- clean and restock workstations, maintaining a safe, organized, and sanitary work environment
- support the bakery team with additional tasks and duties as assigned
