Job Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling
Capability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
Comfortable with repetitive hand and wrist motions
Willingness to work in environments with varying temperatures and near moving machinery
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous retail or bakery experience a plus

Job Qualifications

Customer focus with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and personnel
Effective problem-solving skills to quickly resolve issues in a dynamic work environment
Comprehensive safety awareness including proper training on bakery equipment
Knowledge of retail food business and perishable department operations
Experience in baking or pastry arts preferred but not mandatory
Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
Monitor stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by specified times
Work closely with all Bakery associates to achieve department goals and support a positive team environment
Adhere to attendance and scheduling commitments
Perform other duties as assigned
