Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling
- Capability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
- Comfortable with repetitive hand and wrist motions
- Willingness to work in environments with varying temperatures and near moving machinery
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or bakery experience a plus
Job Qualifications
- Customer focus with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and personnel
- Effective problem-solving skills to quickly resolve issues in a dynamic work environment
- Comprehensive safety awareness including proper training on bakery equipment
- Knowledge of retail food business and perishable department operations
- Experience in baking or pastry arts preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and production lists precisely to ensure high-quality bakery and pastry items
- Monitor dates and freshness, handle outdated items properly, and report shrinkage
- Adhere to all Health Department guidelines and Festival sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and dry storage
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests, taking special orders, and addressing concerns
- Answer phone calls with proper etiquette and ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor stock levels and service floor needs, ensuring proper assortment and production-level
- Maintain food safety logs and ensure all quality standards are met by specified times
- Work closely with all Bakery associates to achieve department goals and support a positive team environment
- Adhere to attendance and scheduling commitments
- Perform other duties as assigned
