Job Requirements

  • Must have high mobility and flexibility
  • Ability to work irregular hours under heavy pressure during peak times
  • Must possess high coordination
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for distances up to 30 feet
  • Frequent reaching, bending, pushing and pulling
  • Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors
  • Continuous standing and walking required

Job Qualifications

  • Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Willingness to undergo in-house training
  • Experience in food preparation or baking preferred but not required

Job Duties

  • Report to work well-groomed in clean and proper uniform and practice good personal hygiene
  • Make and prepare all baked food items including pies, muffins, cookies, quiche, meatloaf, and ribs
  • Adjust oven controls to regulate temperature
  • Monitor and oversee food temperatures during hot and cold handling
  • Measure ingredients and mix dough by hand or with electric mixer
  • Cut, mold, and shape dough for baking
  • Prepare meats or baked foods according to recipes
  • Test foods for doneness by tasting, smelling, and piercing
  • Serve high quality food ensuring it is complete and attractive
  • Work on steam kettles and grill line during peak business
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations and manage time effectively
