Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in a specialty retail environment
- six months supervisory or team lead experience
- ability to perform cash register functions
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
- ability to drive own vehicle to bank for deposits
- ability to work a fast-paced retail environment
- ability to stand and walk frequently
- availability to open and close store
- ability to work in various weather conditions
- basic knowledge of safety and cash control procedures
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
- ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
- knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- ability to perform cash register functions and operate other tools to generate reports such as HHT, self-checkout and store computer
- strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- problem-solving skills and ability to handle various situations
- effective interpersonal skills with associates, suppliers and customers
- strong product inventory knowledge and creative merchandising abilities
- ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money
- high school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
- one year of experience in a specialty retail environment preferred
- six months supervisory or team lead experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
- assist the Store Team Leader in creating and supporting a customer-first store culture
- model product knowledge and selling techniques
- maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment
- facilitate merchandising with appealing product displays
- rotate product according to merchandising guidelines
- educate store team on product knowledge
- maintain daily and weekly cleaning checklists
- ensure condense and reset standards are consistently maintained
- open and close the store at least two days per week
- assist with employee scheduling and training
- conduct safety meetings
- ensure employee compliance with policies
- manage merchandise including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and building displays
- maintain accurate inventory levels through control of damages and markdowns
- implement and maintain plan-o-zones merchandising standards
- ensure financial integrity by managing cashier accountability and cash control procedures
- authorize and sign for refunds and overrides
- count register tills
- deposit money in bank
- assist customers with the self-checkout process at multiple terminals
- manage store in the Store Team Leader’s absence
