Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • one year of experience in specialty retail environment preferred
  • six months supervisory or team lead experience preferred
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions
  • basic math skills including percentages
  • knowledge of cash handling and deposit procedures
  • ability to operate cash registers and store technology
  • strong organizational and detail orientation
  • problem-solving skills
  • ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with associates, suppliers, and customers
  • physical ability for frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and 55 pounds occasionally
  • ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits
  • availability to work in fast-paced retail environment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and safety rules
  • ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control
  • understanding of cash, facility and safety control policies
  • ability to operate cash register and related store technology
  • strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • problem-solving abilities
  • ability to interface effectively with store associates, suppliers, and customers
  • strong product inventory knowledge and creative merchandising skills
  • valid driver’s license and ability to drive own vehicle
  • high school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred
  • experience in specialty retail and supervisory roles preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
  • assist the Store Team Leader in creating and supporting a customer first store culture
  • model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
  • facilitate merchandising and maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment
  • assist with scheduling, training employees, and conducting safety meetings
  • manage merchandise including receiving, unpacking, stocking, restocking and rotating products
  • assist in maintaining financial integrity through cashier accountability, key control, and deposit management
  • open and close the store
  • assist customers with self-checkout
  • manage the store in the absence of the Store Team Leader
