Job Description

Job Requirements
- Must be willing to work various shifts including weekends
- ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 10 hours
- safely lift up to 50 pounds
- possess finger and hand dexterity
- ability to read and write effectively
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior restaurant management experience
- strong commitment to core values
- willingness to perform diverse job duties when necessary
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus
- strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- ability to work under pressure and handle stress
- knowledge of safety, sanitation and inventory management
- proficiency in scheduling and employee development
- familiarity with company policies and local regulations
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with the Flynn Applebee's Premier Card of core values and beliefs
- ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meets company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, meetings and implementation of company policies
- participates in employee development and performance evaluations
- assesses employee efficiency and provides regular feedback
- monitors employee performance and documents disciplinary situations
- assures compliance with company policies and practices
- controls costs in assigned department
- complies with local, state and federal laws
- conducts bi-weekly or weekly food and liquor inventories at management's request
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and company standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on store technology
- willing and able to work in all positions and assist as team member when needed
- uses Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
