Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • effective communication and basic literacy skills
  • willingness to work in different restaurant positions as needed
  • eligibility to work legally in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus
  • strong leadership and team-building skills
  • excellent problem-solving abilities
  • ability to handle stress effectively
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in inventory and cost control
  • knowledge of safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • capability to manage scheduling and employee development

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • ensures the immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation uncompromisingly meeting company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation
  • performs routine maintenance and immediately reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through employment orientation, individual training, employee meetings, and policy implementation
  • participates in employee development using One-on-One meetings and performance documentation
  • assesses employee efficiency, provides fair feedback, and supports areas of development
  • monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
  • assures compliance with company policies and procedures
  • controls cost in assigned department
  • complies with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested and ensures completion
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee's standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store-related technology
  • willing and able to work in all positions and assist as needed, including cooking, expo, seating guests, bartending
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies
