Job Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- ability to work various shifts including weekends
- physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
- ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
- capability to read and write for communication
- finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
- willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
- serve safe food and serve safe alcohol certifications are a plus
- strong leadership and team management skills
- excellent problem-solving abilities
- ability to handle stress and maintain composure
- effective communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to manage inventory and scheduling
- experience in employee training and development
- familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements
Job Duties
- Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
- cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
- ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
- ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
- maintains departmental inventory levels
- ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
- effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
- maintains effective safety and security programs
- promotes and leads organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of the restaurant
- performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
- promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
- promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
- helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and implementation of company policies
- participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation
- provides regular feedback to employees and works on their development areas
- monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
- assures compliance with company policies and procedures
- controls cost in assigned department
- ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines
- drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested
- prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
- assures sanitation standards meet Health Department and company standards
- provides a role model for managers and employees
- develops self on all store-related technology
- works in all positions and assists in team member roles as needed
- uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
