Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • ability to work various shifts including weekends
  • physical ability to stand and move for up to 10 hours
  • ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • capability to read and write for communication
  • finger and hand dexterity to use small tools and equipment
  • willingness to work in all restaurant positions as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2-3 years restaurant management experience
  • serve safe food and serve safe alcohol certifications are a plus
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • excellent problem-solving abilities
  • ability to handle stress and maintain composure
  • effective communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to manage inventory and scheduling
  • experience in employee training and development
  • familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements

Job Duties

  • Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit
  • cultivates a culture in accordance with Flynn Applebee's core values and beliefs
  • ensures immediate response and correction of all verbal guest complaints to self and staff
  • ensures guest contact as a priority with completion of required table visits established by Flynn Applebee's standards
  • maintains departmental inventory levels
  • ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards by performing line checks
  • effectively schedules employees to meet sales demands
  • maintains effective safety and security programs
  • promotes and leads organization, cleanliness, and sanitation of the restaurant
  • performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to General Manager/Area Director
  • promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates
  • promotes Flynn Applebee's training procedures for new managers
  • helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, training sessions, and implementation of company policies
  • participates in employee development using One-on-One and performance documentation
  • provides regular feedback to employees and works on their development areas
  • monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action
  • assures compliance with company policies and procedures
  • controls cost in assigned department
  • ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and guidelines
  • drives bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as requested
  • prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork
  • assures sanitation standards meet Health Department and company standards
  • provides a role model for managers and employees
  • develops self on all store-related technology
  • works in all positions and assists in team member roles as needed
  • uses the Management Development Program for continuous leadership growth
