Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory role
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Capability to lead and motivate a diverse team
  • Understanding of local health and safety regulations
  • Prefer current residence on island
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • Physical ability to perform opening and closing duties

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in restaurant supervision or management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to train and develop staff
  • Experience in both FOH and BOH operations
  • Skilled in scheduling and operational planning
  • Customer service oriented
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of inventory and supply management

Job Duties

  • Increase sales by providing high-quality food and service
  • Supervise day-to-day operations ensuring standards are met
  • Conduct interviews and recommend hires
  • Provide orientation and training for new hires
  • Construct weekly work schedules with management
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Communicate proactively with General Manager and management team
  • Maintain adherence to safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Operate in FOH and BOH rotations as scheduled
  • Supervise FOH staff including bar, hosts, servers, bussers, and food runners
  • Manage table visits and guest interactions
  • Monitor front door procedures and reservations
  • Act as manager-on-duty in absence of General Manager
  • Conduct FOH staff meetings and training sessions
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in FOH
  • Assist Chef with kitchen responsibilities
  • Conduct daily operational walk-throughs
  • Receive food and beverage orders
  • Conduct line checks for quality
  • Expedite orders and monitor food quality
  • Facilitate BOH staff meetings
  • Provide backup at kitchen stations
  • Supervise kitchen operations and staff in absence of Chef
  • Inspect and identify equipment maintenance issues
