Job Requirements

  • Must have a proven record of leadership, team building, effective communication and sound judgment
  • At least 2 years experience as a chef, sous chef or kitchen manager, or equivalent, with an emphasis on Escoffier techniques
  • Must have excellent communication skills in either English or Spanish
  • Must have current ServSafe certification
  • Possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a POS system, accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Be able to work in a standing position for 10-12 hours per day
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to work 50 to 60 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and team building skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience as chef, sous chef or kitchen manager
  • Expertise in Escoffier techniques
  • Excellent communication skills in English or Spanish
  • Current ServSafe certification
  • Proficiency with POS systems, accounting software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job

Job Duties

  • Create and lead Back of the House team
  • Coordinate daily kitchen operations and prep areas
  • Ensure adherence to PURE standards and systems
  • Implement plans for food quality and cost control
  • Manage employee retention and training
  • Oversee cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Operate POS and accounting systems
  • Serve as Expo/BOH Manager on Duty during scheduled shifts
  • Fulfill Kitchen Manager duties when necessary
  • Demonstrate advanced knife skills and Escoffier techniques
