Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of three years of professional event management experience
  • Familiarity with university event settings highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proficiency with Eventbrite and Cvent
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Assists in booking and managing time and space for each event
  • Maintains updated email lists and registrant databases through coordination with the IT group
  • Works with Events Manager to plan menus and arrange catering
  • Collaborates with Events Manager and Marketing Team to execute registration processes
  • Aids in planning event logistics
  • Helps recruit and manage graduate assistants for event support
  • Creates approved runs of shows for events
  • Organizes and transports event supplies
  • Assists with on-site check-in setup, signage, and reserved seating
  • Manages creation, printing, and distribution of attendee badges
  • Supports check-in processes at events
  • Provides daily registration reports to Events Manager and Marketing Team
  • Attends run-throughs and tech checks for both on-site and online events
  • Assists marketing staff with event-related tasks during downtime
