Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- a year of experience in food service or related area
- ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
- valid official ID or driver's license
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- punctuality and reliability
- ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- A year of experience in the food service field or a related area
- Food Handlers Permit obtained within 30 days of employment
- must hold an official ID or valid driver's license
- excellent customer service skills
- knowledge of common restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
- ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods
- ability to read technical procedures and written instructions
- basic mathematical skills including addition, division, and multiplication
- reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
- effective communication skills to respond to guests, co-workers, and supervisors
Job Duties
- Tend to guests and greet them as they enter and exit the restaurant
- take POS transactions and be kind and helpful to all customers
- set up the storefront including turning on equipment, brewing coffee, and restocking items
- get breakfast and lunch food from the main kitchen
- use carts, hot boxes, and other equipment appropriately
- perform sanitation duties including washing service trays, cleaning work areas, sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
- take timed food temperatures and ensure food is properly dated and rotated using FIFO
- follow directions from the supervisor and attend to all duties assigned by the manager
