Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
a year of experience in food service or related area
ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
valid official ID or driver's license
ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
punctuality and reliability
ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

A year of experience in the food service field or a related area
Food Handlers Permit obtained within 30 days of employment
must hold an official ID or valid driver's license
excellent customer service skills
knowledge of common restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods
ability to read technical procedures and written instructions
basic mathematical skills including addition, division, and multiplication
reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
effective communication skills to respond to guests, co-workers, and supervisors

Job Duties

Tend to guests and greet them as they enter and exit the restaurant
take POS transactions and be kind and helpful to all customers
set up the storefront including turning on equipment, brewing coffee, and restocking items
get breakfast and lunch food from the main kitchen
use carts, hot boxes, and other equipment appropriately
perform sanitation duties including washing service trays, cleaning work areas, sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
take timed food temperatures and ensure food is properly dated and rotated using FIFO
follow directions from the supervisor and attend to all duties assigned by the manager
