Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • a year of experience in food service or related area
  • ability to obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
  • valid official ID or driver's license
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
  • punctuality and reliability
  • ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • A year of experience in the food service field or a related area
  • Food Handlers Permit obtained within 30 days of employment
  • must hold an official ID or valid driver's license
  • excellent customer service skills
  • knowledge of common restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures
  • ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods
  • ability to read technical procedures and written instructions
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, division, and multiplication
  • reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
  • effective communication skills to respond to guests, co-workers, and supervisors

Job Duties

  • Tend to guests and greet them as they enter and exit the restaurant
  • take POS transactions and be kind and helpful to all customers
  • set up the storefront including turning on equipment, brewing coffee, and restocking items
  • get breakfast and lunch food from the main kitchen
  • use carts, hot boxes, and other equipment appropriately
  • perform sanitation duties including washing service trays, cleaning work areas, sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes
  • take timed food temperatures and ensure food is properly dated and rotated using FIFO
  • follow directions from the supervisor and attend to all duties assigned by the manager
