Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3-5 years of hotel sales experience with experience managing a sales team
  • strong knowledge of sales strategies revenue management and market analysis
  • proven ability to develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue goals
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients and internal teams
  • proficiency in microsoft office and crm systems with sales pro or similar software experience preferred
  • ability to work independently and take initiative in fast-paced environment
  • strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

Job Duties

  • assist the director of sales in developing and executing strategic sales plans to maximize hotel service and profitability
  • manage and solicit business from designated market segments focusing on corporate group sales
  • conduct site inspections sales trips and trade shows as required
  • ensure all accounts profile all sales reports and relevant information are updated
  • support daily operations of sales team to achieve budgeted revenue goals and pre-booking targets
  • train new sales department employees and ensure adherence to team policies and procedures
  • collaborate with revenue management to implement pricing and selling strategies that optimize business mix
  • actively promote and sell services of multiple hotel brands maintaining and developing new corporate group business
  • participate in direct sales efforts including sales trips off-property functions and customer entertainment
  • manage workflow through sales pro system properly responding and filing data according to company and brand standards
  • assist in development and implementation of annual goals marketing plans budgets and objectives for department
  • monitor performance of sales team and provide training on performance benchmarks and budgets
  • form partnerships with general managers to drive revenue growth and improve results of underperforming hotels
  • participate in market and regional sales blitzes to identify new business opportunities
  • work closely with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and excellent guest experiences
  • provide product quality feedback and support decision-making with accurate and current marketing data
  • organize prioritize and follow-up with a sense of urgency
  • exceed revenue goals by offering an exciting alternative to current market
  • maintain regular attendance and consistent punctuality
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including compliance with dress code
  • perform other duties as requested by the general manager
