Job Requirements
- HS diploma or GED or equivalent
- prior food service or retail experience preferred
- knowledge of POS and inventory equipment
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to read and write
- good planning and organizational abilities
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- completion of company orientation upon hire
- food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- physical ability to handle fast-paced retail environment demands
- ability to lift and manage weight up to 55 lbs including frequent standing and reaching in different positions

Job Duties
- Provides superior customer service
- takes orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answers customer questions regarding products
- assists them with selections
- prepares, packages, and merchandises fresh product effectively
- slices, packages, labels, rotates, and culls products for poor quality
- assists in technical areas as needed such as basic set-up and clean-up processes
- uses suggestive selling techniques and basic product knowledge to meet customer needs and build department sales
- cleans and sanitizes display cases
- operates and maintains equipment properly
- complies with food safety and sanitation standards
- complies with department and store operating procedures
- records production and shrink to aid in production planning (bakery)
- assists in baking, frying, and decorating (bakery)
- culls bakery products for quality and expiration (bakery)
- manages service counter customers (deli)
- uses ordering system applications (deli)
- uses Fresh Production Planner (deli)
- performs inventory management processes (deli)
- ensures catering orders are prepared and ready for pickup (deli)
- performs sanitation and maintenance on deli slicers
- serves and packages products at customer request (prepared foods)
- educates customers on preparation and reheating instructions (prepared foods)
- prepackages condiments for prepared items
- cuts, slices, dices, chops food for chef preparation
