Job Requirements
- ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
- must be on feet for the duration of the shift
- willingness to handle cleaning supplies and pet-related messes
- physical stamina for an active, on-your-feet job
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior kennel or animal care experience a plus but not required
- ability to remain calm and professional in a busy animal care environment
- enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- strong love and passion for animals
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized
- serving up meals and fresh water
- monitoring the health, happiness, and poop of every pet guest
- reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager
- supervising playtime, tail-wagging, and the occasional game of fetch
- assisting with brushing and bath time
- handling laundry and belongings so every pet has clean snuggly stuff
- making tails wag
