Job Requirements

  • Experience providing customer service such as establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers and responding to requests and questions
  • Experience using Microsoft suite applications including Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
  • Experience researching questions or issues and providing detailed, complicated information in an understandable manner to others
  • Experience providing administrative support to a regulatory agency, training or grant program
  • Experience reviewing or communicating about legislation, statutes, and administrative codes or processes
  • Experience coordinating meetings or training events such as creating agendas, taking minutes, maintaining committee to-do lists, coordinating with venues and catering organizations
  • Experience creating, hosting and facilitating Teams channels to organize team projects and organizational tracking

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Providing complex administrative and program-related support to the bureau director
  • Providing support to the nurse aide, corporate guardianship, and education services section efforts of the bureau
  • Supporting the coordination of internal new hire training
  • Supporting the bureau director in the coordination and facilitation of DQA workgroups including the DQA Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access Workgroup
  • Providing support to the DQA internal and external event planning committees including the support staff annual meeting, the DQA all staff meeting, the nurse aide forum and other event planning as needed
  • Serving as administrative support to several key DQA functions including coordination of the Civil Money Penalty Redistribution Program
  • Implementing the nurse aide training and testing and corporate guardianship program administration
  • Rotating as the DQA phone receptionist and ordering, distributing, and organizing central office business supplies including coordinating ordering and delivery of regional office copy paper
  • Communicating with public officials, media, legislators, department executives, other bureau directors, provider communities and the public
