Job Requirements
- Associate degree or two-year technical certificate
- Two years of experience as a supervisory chef
- Minimum of three years general, hands-on culinary industry experience
- Ability to use Blackboard for course management
- Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations
- Ability to submit syllabus and grades electronically
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining professional certifications and standards
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree or two-year technical certificate
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two years of experience as a supervisory chef
- Minimum of three years general, hands-on culinary industry experience
- Proficiency in instructional technologies including Blackboard and PowerPoint
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to organize material and develop student learning objectives and assignments
- Positive attitude and detail-oriented approach
Job Duties
- Develop and teach all assigned courses following department course outlines
- Keep accurate records of student attendance, progress, and grades
- Post and maintain office hours
- Provide instructional assignments in culinary arts technical and hospitality management skills, including lecture and lab instruction
- Maintain standards of professionalism including sanitation, safety, and uniform codes
- Maintain currency of knowledge and skill in specialization and areas of instruction
- Maintain professional certifications
