Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care and person-centered programming
- Ability to lift activity supplies and assist participants as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to plan and coordinate activities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
- CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- 2-step TB Clearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy, Social Work, Gerontology, or related field preferred)
- Experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care and person-centered programming
- Ability to lift activity supplies and assist participants as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Proven ability to plan and coordinate engaging activities and events
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for participants and the community
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for community events and special activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic computer skills for scheduling, record-keeping, and communication
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- 2-step TB Clearance
Job Duties
- Develop, plan, coordinate, and oversee a robust calendar of daily activities for participants, ensuring programs promote social engagement, cognitive stimulation, and wellness
- Plan group and individual activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, exercise programs, educational sessions, and holiday celebrations
- Modify activities to accommodate participants with dementia, mobility limitations, or other special needs
- Coordinate special events, guest speakers, and community outings
- Encourage participant engagement and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment
- Maintain activity supplies and manage the activity budget
- Document participation and monitor participant responses to activities
