Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience working with seniors or in a caregiving role preferred
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to engage with residents with dementia or cognitive impairments
- creative thinking and enthusiasm for activity planning
- active driver’s license
- reliable and punctual
- ability to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- ability to quickly connect with people
- passion for helping others
- positive attitude
- talents in arts, music, history or trivia
- active driver’s license in good standing
- experience in healthcare, hospitality, activities or event planning is a plus
Job Duties
- get to know the residents and tailor activities to their interests and needs
- plan and implement spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural and emotional programs
- participate in activities such as games, painting, singing and music
- encourage resident participation in activities and events
- utilize social media, email and newsletters to showcase daily activities
- assist in organizing and running events
- foster a positive and inclusive environment for residents
