Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior delivery experience
- Prior DME delivery experience preferred
- 1-2 years construction or assembly experience with electrical equipment
- 1-2 years low voltage electrical experience
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to travel to patient homes and meeting locations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in DME delivery preferred
- 1-2 years of construction and assembly experience, particularly with electrical equipment
- 1-2 years of low voltage electrical experience
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills
- Ability to provide excellent customer support and instruction
Job Duties
- Review work orders and document delivery route
- Conduct phone calls to schedule delivery and pick-up of durable medical equipment and supplies
- Locate products within warehouse and load vehicles with durable medical equipment such as beds, lift chairs, wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, commodes, and supplies
- Transport durable medical equipment and supplies using delivery van or truck to locations indicated on delivery schedule
- Assemble and install Durable Medical Equipment at Veteran homes
- Provide patient orientation and instruction on the proper use of equipment
- Perform follow-up servicing and minor repairs of equipment in the field
- Pick up, unload, and disassemble returned equipment at warehouse
- Perform documentation tasks including obtaining signatures from Veterans upon delivery and completing driver logs
- Assist in cleaning and disinfecting used equipment
- Perform daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks on assigned vehicle
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Utilize skills in access control systems, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support
- Work independently and efficiently
