Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • two or more years of commercial kitchen experience
  • minimum of three professional references
  • ability to work a six-day, 70-hour week
  • must live onsite in a rural setting with shared living spaces
  • ability to operate under pressure in various temperature environments
  • physical endurance to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds
  • ability to bend, stretch, and reach for long durations
  • ServSafe Allergens certification prior to camp start
  • must identify the Big 9 allergens and communicate effectively
  • must relocate seasonally
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • must be quality driven
  • must maintain a clean workspace

Job Qualifications

  • Two or more years of commercial kitchen experience
  • minimum three professional references
  • proficiency in relevant culinary skills
  • quality driven
  • ability to self-motivate
  • commitment to maintaining a clean work environment
  • ability to uphold health department standards
  • leadership and team management skills
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds
  • ServSafe Allergens certification (company sponsored)
  • knowledge of the Big 9 allergens and effective communication skills related to allergens
  • ability to cook from scratch with minimal supervision
  • ability to adapt menu items for various dietary needs

Job Duties

  • Control inventory
  • assist in assembling orders to be placed
  • manage project communication
  • uphold WOLFoods standards of service and quality
  • apply in-depth understanding of food safety related to special diet food preparation and cooking
  • interact professionally with campers, staff, and parents
  • maintain health department sanitation standards
  • manage kitchen and dining hall staff
  • maintain client relations
  • follow comprehensive WOLFoods camp food training program
  • attend in-service training and staff meetings
  • accurately execute recipes using weights and measures
  • prepare all menu items and special requests
  • ensure production timing, quantity, quality, and plating
  • supervise personnel
  • actively engage in planning, scheduling, directing, and training
  • estimate production needs and maintain inventory
  • recommend equipment purchases
  • act as front of house supervisor when needed
  • produce safe special diet and allergen food
