Job Requirements

  • Two plus years commercial kitchen experience
  • minimum three professional references
  • proficiency in relevant culinary skills

  • availability to work minimum six-day, seventy-hour workweek
  • willingness to live on-site in a rural, shared living environment
  • ability to work under pressure and in varying temperatures
  • physical ability to stand for long periods, lift at least fifty pounds, bend, stretch, and reach
  • must possess ServSafe Allergens Certification before camp start
  • must identify the Big 9 allergens
  • able to modify menu items for dietary restrictions

Job Duties

  • Control inventory

  • interact professionally with campers, staff, and parents
  • recognize and maintain health department sanitation standards
  • supervise culinary staff
  • manage client relations
  • follow Wolfoods Camp Food Training Program
  • attend in-service training and staff meetings
  • use weights and measures to accurately execute recipes
  • prepare menu items and special requests
  • follow standardized recipes
  • ensure accurate timing, quantity, quality, and plating of production
  • actively plan, schedule, direct, and train staff
  • estimate production needs and maintain par levels
  • recommend equipment purchases
  • safely produce special diet and allergen food
  • act as front of house supervisor in absence of other staff
