Job Requirements

  • More than 2 years of commercial kitchen experience
  • minimum three professional references
  • proficiency in relevant culinary skills
  • quality driven
  • ability to self motivate
  • maintain a clean work environment
  • uphold health department standards
  • able to lead a team and take direction
  • minimum six day 70 hour work week
  • must live on site in a rural setting with possibility of shared living spaces
  • able to work under pressure in above or below average temperatures
  • able to stand for long periods of time
  • able to lift and carry minimum 50 pounds
  • able to bend stretch and reach for extended periods
  • must possess ServSafe Allergens Certification before camp start
  • able to identify Big 9 allergens and communicate effectively
  • able to cook from scratch with minimal supervision
  • able to take a menu and make multiple versions for dietary needs

Job Qualifications

  • More than 2 years of commercial kitchen experience

Job Duties

  • Control inventory
  • assist in assembling orders to be placed
  • manage projects related to food service
  • maintain effective communication
  • uphold Wolfoods standards of service and quality
  • ensure food safety in special diet preparation
  • interact professionally with campers, staff, and parents
  • maintain health department sanitation standards
  • manage and supervise staff
  • maintain client relations
  • follow Wolfoods camp food training program
  • attend in-service training and staff meetings
  • use weights and measures to execute recipes accurately
  • prepare all menu items and special request events
  • follow standardized recipes
  • ensure timely, quality production and plating
  • supervise kitchen and dining hall personnel
  • engage in planning, scheduling, directing, and training
  • understand cross-utilization
  • estimate production needs and maintain inventory
  • recommend equipment purchases
  • act as front of house supervisor if needed
  • safely produce special diet and allergen-friendly foods
