Job Requirements
- Seven years of experience in airport operations, maintenance, or aviation administration
- Three years of supervisory or management responsibilities
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Must pass FAA and TSA background investigations
- Preferred airport certifications such as AAAE, IATA, or ACI
- Ability to understand and comply with FAA Part 139, CFR 49, and related regulations
Job Qualifications
- Seven years of experience in airport operations, maintenance, or aviation administration
- Three years of supervisory or management experience
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Public Administration, Aviation Management, Political Science, Public Relations, or related field
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- Preferred airport certifications such as AAAE, IATA, or ACI
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of FAA Part 139 and CFR 49 regulations
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
Job Duties
- Directs, plans, and oversees the operations and maintenance of all airfields in the Dallas Airport System
- Manages, oversees, and monitors all airside, landside, and regulatory activities throughout the Airport
- Manages airfield emergencies and weather-related needs for safe operations
- Manages multiple Senior Managers, ensuring alignment with overall Airport System goals to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensures the Runways, Taxiways, Runway Safety Areas within the AOA remain in good standing with the Federal Aviation Administration
- Oversees all vendors and consulting services related to Operations Department
- Develops and executes departmental strategic plans aligned with organizational goals and objectives
- Develops and manages budgets for airside and airfield operations
- Communicates and collaborates with various managers to determine construction issues and maintenance impact on airport operations
- Develops and administers internal departmental administrative directives and ensures policies and standards are adhered
- Communicates with executive leadership to ensure coordinated strategies and prepares weekly business agenda, briefings, and reports
- Identifies and addresses quality management areas to enhance productivity
- Performs any other required or assigned work
