Vince and Ginos Hair Design & Spa, established in 1960 by Master Barber Vince Ballone, is a family-owned salon located in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood. Vince began his journey in 1955 in Castletemini, Sicily, where he apprenticed under a master barber, mastering techniques like straight razor shaving and mud pack facial treatments.
After immigrating to the United States in 1959, Vince opened a modest two-chair barbershop at 2845 S. Wallace Ave. in Chicago. This shop has since expanded to serve a diverse clientele.
Family Legacy and Expertise
In 1992, Vince's son, Gino, joined the family business, bringing his expertise in hair coloring, highlights, perms, body waves, chemical straightening, and styling for both men and women.
Gino graduated at the top of his class from beauty school in 1990 and trained at one of Chicago's premier salons before joining his father's legacy. Today, Gino serves as the master barber, ensuring the salon's commitment to quality.
