Southcoast Health System, Inc. is a not-for-profit, community-based health system serving southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Established in 1996, it comprises three hospitals: Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, and Tobey Hospital in Wareham. These hospitals merged to form the Southcoast Hospitals Group, operating under a single license.

The health system offers a comprehensive range of services, including acute care surgery, addiction medicine, advanced heart failure, bariatric surgery, behavioral health, brain and spine care, breast care, cancer care, cardiac imaging, cardiac surgery, cardiology, and more.

Additionally, Southcoast Health provides cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation, chiropractic services, clinical psychology, clinical social work, colorectal surgery, cosmetic surgery, critical care, dermatology, diabetes management, and various other specialties.

Beyond its hospitals, Southcoast Health operates over 55 service locations across the region, including more than 40 physician practices, urgent care centers, outpatient surgery centers, and numerous ancillary facilities.
