Shoney's Charleston

Shoney's is a renowned American restaurant chain that has been serving classic American cuisine since its inception in 1947. Founded by Alex Schoenbaum in Charleston, West Virginia, the original establishment, known as the Parkette Drive-In, quickly gained popularity for its delicious food and welcoming atmosphere.

Over the decades, Shoney's has expanded its menu to include a variety of dishes catering to diverse tastes. Signature items such as the All American Burger, Slim Jim Sandwich, hot fudge cake, and strawberry pie have become favorites among patrons.

In 1975, Shoney's expanded its brand by establishing Shoney's Inn, a motel chain. After selling the motels in 1991, the company continued to collect royalties until the last remaining Shoney's Inns were rebranded as GuestHouse between 2002 and 2006.
