Rainier Valley Birth & Health Center

Rainier Valley Birth & Health Center (RVBHC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing parent and infant health outcomes through midwifery-led, community-based collaborative care. Established in 2015, RVBHC operates in South Seattle and Renton, Washington. It focuses on providing comprehensive reproductive, pregnancy, mental health, and lifespan services to predominantly BIPOC and low-income families.

RVBHC offers a range of services that include prenatal care, birth support, lactation consultation, family planning, and urgent gynecological care. Their holistic approach involves a dedicated team of midwives, nurses, doulas, mental health counselors, lactation specialists, and partner physicians.

This team works collaboratively to support clients in achieving their health and wellness goals.

In 2023, RVBHC expanded its facilities to better serve the community. The new center features dedicated birth and recovery rooms, walk-in urgent care, and the first ultrasound services in the neighborhood. This expansion underscores the organization's commitment to providing accessible and culturally relevant care.
