Mercy is a comprehensive, nonprofit Catholic healthcare organization founded in 1871 by the Sisters of Mercy. Headquartered in Chesterfield, Missouri, Mercy operates across multiple states, including Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. It also has outreach programs in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Community Engagement and Expansion
Mercy is committed to enhancing community health through various initiatives:
- Partnerships: In October 2024, Mercy, the Alice L. Walton Foundation, and the Heartland Whole Health Institute formed a partnership to improve cardiac care in Northwest Arkansas. This includes a combined $700 million investment to build new facilities and recruit doctors.
- School Health Clinics: Mercy opened its first school health clinic in September 2022 at the Jim D. Rollins School of Innovation in Tontitown, Arkansas. The clinic aims to reduce absenteeism and promote preventive healthcare among students and their families.
- Retail Clinics: In November 2024, Mercy expanded services by opening clinics inside Walmart stores located in Rogers, Springdale, and Fort Smith. These clinics offer primary care services such as vaccinations, health screenings, and wellness visits.
