Flagship Restaurant: Lulu

One of the flagship restaurants, Lulu, is helmed by Chef Mona Leena Michael, a first-generation Palestinian-American. Chef Mona's culinary journey began in 2011 at the historic Jardinière, followed by roles at Roka Akor and Serpentine.

Her experiences culminated in the creation of Lulu, where she blends traditional Palestinian flavors with contemporary California cuisine. The menu features a robust bread program, including individual mana’eesh made with seasonal, local ingredients, freshly baked pastries with modern twists on traditional flavors, and a fresh seasonal brunch menu available daily.

Dinner service is offered Thursday through Saturday.

Expansion and New Location

In late 2023, Lulu relocated to a larger space at 1106 Solano Avenue in Albany, California. This expansion allowed for an enhanced dining experience with an expanded menu.

New items include the Mansaf Pot Pie—a braised lamb dish topped with roti dough—and the Shishbarak Soup Dumplings. A children's menu and family-friendly amenities were also introduced, reflecting Chef Mona's commitment to a welcoming environment for all guests.

• LuLu Noodle specializes in authentic Chongqing-style Chinese cuisine, including noodles, soup dumplings, and rice bowls, with multiple locations across Alameda. It provides a lively dining experience celebrating bold, spicy flavors from Chongqing Province.
