Firestone Walker Brewing Company, established in 1996 by brothers-in-law Adam Firestone and David Walker, is a renowned craft brewery headquartered in Paso Robles, California.

The brewery's journey began on the Firestone family vineyard in Los Olivos, where they sought to create the perfect beer. Their inaugural brew, Double Barrel Ale, was crafted using a unique variation of the Burton Union fermentation system, setting the foundation for their innovative approach to brewing.

Product Line

Firestone Walker's commitment to quality and innovation is evident in their diverse beer lineup, which includes:

• 805: A blonde ale named after the brewery's home region, the Central Coast (area code 805). Initially a local favorite, it has become a top-selling craft beer in California and expanded distribution to other states.
• Mind Haze IPA: Introduced in 2019, this hazy IPA was developed after extensive experimentation at the Venice Propagator. It features a blend of hops that impart soft tropical fruit aromas and flavors.
• Union Jack IPA: Launched in 2007, this West Coast-style IPA has earned accolades at the Great American Beer Festival and is recognized for its balanced bitterness and hop character.

Company Ownership and Leadership

In 2015, Firestone Walker merged with Belgium-based Duvel Moortgat Brewery, with Duvel Moortgat becoming the majority stakeholder.

Despite this, founders David Walker and Adam Firestone remain actively involved in the company, with Walker serving as CEO and Firestone on the board.
